Body Mass Index (BMI)

BMI represents the relationship between your height and weight as a single number. While BMI is by no means a complete representation of health, it is often used as a screening tool in health settings and it can be very useful to better understand prevention and treatment options.

BMI between 18.5 and 25.0 is considered to be normal;
BMI between 25.1 and 30.0 is considered to be overweight;
and a BMI 30.1 and over is characterized as obesity.
